Need Help?

  • Click on the help link above to learn more about how to use your wiki.

Use this page to share ideas with one another

>
  • 1. What would YOU like to learn about via this project? Share those ideas on this page. (or under the discussion tab for this page).

  • 2. I'd suggest, once your team has generally agreed upon a broad topic, that each of you go find 2-3 resources (in the library, on the web, etc.) that will help you answer that first question. Please keep track of the resources you use on the 'Resources' page.

  • 3. Then share that information with each other on this page.

  • 4. As wiki members, you are free to add a New Page if you'd like. Click New Page in the upper left margin. As you share ideas, you'll probably discover several useful points that your team will want to share with the rest of us in your final presentation. You might want to create a new page called something like Presentation.

  • 5. You can use the Presentation page to piece together the product that you will be sharing with us. Remember, you'll be using a VoiceThread to present your material to our class (unless your team comes up with a different format that will work better for you -- just remember your final product has to be uploaded onto Angel so we can all see it).

  • 6. Also, remember, that every page of this wiki will have it's own discussion section, so keep track of where you are sharing ideas and information with one another.

  • 7. Wikis can get a little cluttered over time. Because this is your wiki, you are free to edit, delete, move things around. Don't worry that you'll lose anything, because all versions of each page can be retrieved via the History tab. While I will monitor your wiki, and I may make a suggestion here or there, this is your space to use as you'd like. It's not part of your grade. Think of it as a way to communicate with your team members about this assignment.

Please note there are A LOT of good resources about this topic available. We have several good books in the BTC library that I'd suggest you use as a starting point. If you want to wade into the Internet, you might get overwhelmed pretty quickly. Remember, you'll want to end up with a presentation for us that provides a basic introduction on this topic (or even just focuses on one aspect of it). -- Carl

One more note from Carl: Please notice the 'Discussion' tab at the top of this page (each page of a wiki has it's own separate discussion section). That's probably the best way to 'chat' back and forth. You can mark the box 'Monitor this topic' and set it up so you get an email notification when someone's made a new discussion post. That way, you don't always have to be checking in to see if someone has added anything new. Use your wiki 'pages' for the 'meat' of your work together. For starters, I suggest each team member go and find two sources of general information about Emotional Intelligence, compare notes, and see if you can find some common direction you'd like to follow. Keep track of your resources on the second page of this wiki. Good luck!

ten-four, i will start looking for some stuff.

maybe?
--Kevin Reid

my first instinct would be to research the world wide web regarding emotional intelligence. but somehow i've subconsiously developed some anxiety towards that, and now i'm sure the internet will overwhelm me to a point of panic attacks and a nervous breakdown. i'm at a loss, maybe we should assign sections.

hey guys adam here. Sorry it took me so long but I do have resources and will pull my own weight. Anything specific you want me to look up? if you need to get a hold of me the best way is my cell 224-8133. I will just continue to find more facts and submit them tonite.

what about these sections? does anyone want to meet tomorrow for a meeting?-adam

I am down for meeting up today the 15th my number is 510-7897 give me a ring so we can figure out a good time.
--Kevin Reid

tonight (15th) would be good for me around 7:30 or 8. are you talking about meeting up somewhere or meeting online? i think we could do it all online, have you guys used Skype? if not you can go to their site and download it for free, then we can get a conference chat going on and figure this thing out. my two cents anyway... if that's not going to work then someone better call me and let me know where and when to meet. if we are going to met on Skype someone please text me the time to meet, I could be online by 7:30. .
also i've posted an information source under the 'discussions' tab for emotional intelligence.

-KHALL 6/16

matt hansen here. sorry i've been unavailable - i've been dealing with a couple of unfortunate things. regardless, i'm putting in my research concerning the topic, and can put together the presentation in a powerpoint or whatever we want to do. we can do the skype thing and organize before the last push if you want.

i'm looking over this stuff, and i can voice narrate the power point for bonus points too.

ok so far i've made an 8 slide presentation. you guys can look at it online. i'm just going to finish it, and add whatever information you send me as it comes. i'll power through this thing to make up for my not being around.

tell me what you think so far : http://www.mediafire.com/?xtwyxz90n2x
also, email me at apeirophobictaoist@gmail.com with your information.

hey matt kevin hall here (sleazypmartini) sounds good, definately appreciate the help. glad you're on the power point as i've not used it much in the past. i did sift/shuffle/read through a crap load of info regarding EI, and i posted what i thought to be pretty revelant pertaining to our topic.
all the stuff i found is on the (-presentation-) page, theres lots of good stuff.
the links i've used for all the info is on the (emotional intelligence links) page, we can use to cite the information, also included with the links is a short video with good info that we might want to incorperate peices of in our presentation, if you're into editing at all.
i followed your link to the presentation and got an ad for reservetol or some shit i dunno, so as long as you use this info i've found i'm cool with whatever the presentation looks like. honestly i'm pretty done with this wiki thing, just trying to start a new sentance in a different color has me ready to throw my pc out the freaking window. 10am 6/20

ok then, let it be known that im compiling the information and uploading the presentation within the hour. if anyone has any last minute requests, comments or questions....
